Zora Neale Hurston

Chief Curator Francis Oliver working on our newest exhibit Welcome Home Zora!  Many dates have been speculated as to the date of Zora’s birth, which includes 1901, 1903 1907.  However, scholars have confirmed that she was born in 1891 in Alabama.  She died 1960 in Fort Pierce Florida.
