Trayvon Martin was born on February 5th, 1995 in Miami, Florida. Martin was the victim of a fatal shooting which took place in Sanford Florida on February 26th, 2012, a couple weeks after his 17th birthday. He was in Sanford visiting his father’s fiancee when the incident took place. George Zimmerman, who was a neighborhood watch member, called the police about someone he found to be suspicious looking walking around the neighborhood. Zimmerman later ended up fatally shooting Martin. After the shooting, many protests and memorial services were held in honor and in memory of Trayvon Martin. Trayvon is now buried at the Dade-Memorial Park in Miami, Florida.
